Primary Objectives Of ICC’s Pathology Report Module
Our pathology report functionalities are uniquely effective and bring caregivers the full advantages of process automation:
- Create a surgical pathology report that is complete, concise and to the point
- Standardize reporting to the other clinicians involved in a patient treatment, thereby improving communication and minimizing errors
- Enhance the accuracy and timing of clinical cancer staging and cancer registry data, while reducing the need for abstraction of medical record data
- Eliminate or reduce reliance on transcription and enable single-step sign-out for the pathologist
- Automate the electronic medical record process for pathology
- Reduce the reliance on text driven reporting
- Provide the pathologist with the appropriate and relevant knowledge for decision making.
- Improve the efficiency of the pathologist
- Automate the assignment of SNOMED CT, ICD, CPT and LOINC codes at the point of a clinical decision creating a synoptic surgical pathology report
- Export the structured data to ICC Oncology Tools databases, as well as to cancer registries, tumor registries, databases or lab system.
Strengthen Your Performance
The Pathology module adopts the checklists and protocols from the College of American Pathologists as the standard reporting format, thereby meeting the requirement of the American College of Surgeons' Commission on Cancer (CoC) minimum data elements. Completion of the pathology synoptic checklist automatically generates the "pathologic stage" of the tumor to be edited or approved by the managing physician for the actual clinical stage.
